The specification of a correct answer is:
a12B3f
The only correct answer is:
a12B3f
with any number of preceding and trailing blanks.

The value shown is interpreted as a non-number, i. e. a sequence of characters beginning with neither a digit nor a minus-sign.
A non-number normally begins with a letter but certain special characters are also permitted in the beginning of a non-number.
Certain special characters are used for special purposes and are therefore not permitted in non-numbers.
